Cancellation and Refund Policy
What it costs to cancel, what you get back, and how long the money takes to reach you
Effective: October 2026
Version 1.0
In plain words
Before you pay, we show you the supplier's cancellation rules and our own charges. If you cancel, we pass on whatever the airline or hotel refunds, minus only the charges shown at booking. If we or the supplier cancel, you get a full refund. Refunds always go back to the way you paid, and we start them within 7 working days of receiving the money from the supplier.
Scope and principles
This policy applies to bookings made with T4Travelonline Private Limited through www.t4travelonline.com, the T4Travel mobile app (Android and iOS), our corporate portal and our offline channels. We act as a booking agent: airlines, hotels, transport operators and insurers provide the actual service, and their fare rules and cancellation policies decide most of what is refundable. Our job is to show you those rules clearly before you pay, process your cancellation quickly and pass the refund on in full.
- No surprises. All charges, including ours, are shown before payment, as required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
- Same channel back. Refunds go to the original payment method, or to the company wallet for corporate bookings paid from it.
- No refund-processing fee. We do not charge you to process a refund, in line with DGCA rules for airline tickets.
- Fair both ways. If we cancel a confirmed booking because of our own error, you receive a full refund including all our fees.
Flights
If you cancel
- Cancel from My Bookings in the app or website, or through support. Cancellation must be made before the cut-off time shown at booking, as the airline's rules require.
- Refund = amount paid − airline cancellation charge − our cancellation service fee (shown at booking) − any non-refundable convenience fee shown at booking.
- Non-refundable fares still return statutory taxes and fees such as Passenger Service Fee, User Development Fee and Airport Development Fee, as the DGCA requires.
- No-show: only the statutory taxes and fees are refundable.
- Name changes are not allowed by most airlines; a change usually means cancelling and rebooking.
If the airline cancels or reschedules
- You can choose a full refund or an alternative flight offered by the airline, as provided in the DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements.
- We waive our own cancellation fee when the airline cancels.
- Any compensation the airline owes you under DGCA rules is the airline's obligation; we help you claim it.
Locked (held) fares
Where you pay a lock fee to hold a fare, the lock fee secures the price and is not refundable if the balance is not paid by the deadline shown. The balance is never charged without your action.
Hotels
- Each room shows its own cancellation policy at booking, for example “Free cancellation until 10 Oct, 23:59 local time”. That policy applies.
- Within the free-cancellation window: full refund of the room price; whether our convenience fee is refunded is shown at booking.
- After the window, or for non-refundable rates: the hotel's charge applies, often the first night or the full stay.
- No-show is treated as a late cancellation under the hotel's policy.
- Charges the hotel collects directly at the property (city tax, resort fee) are outside our refund.
Holidays, tours, transfers and group bookings
These are quoted individually and the cancellation schedule is written into your quote and confirmation. The cancellation charges that apply to your package are the ones shown in that quote and confirmation.
Visa fees, and flights and hotels booked as part of a package, follow their own rules above.
Travel insurance
- Insurance is issued by the insurer (currently Asego and its partner insurers), and their policy wording governs cancellation.
- A policy cancelled before the cover start date is normally refunded in full, less any charge the insurer applies.
- Once the trip has started, or a claim has been made, the premium is generally not refundable.
- Cancelling your flight or hotel does not cancel your insurance automatically; please ask us to cancel it.
Coupons, wallet and TCS
- A coupon discount is not refunded as cash. If you cancel, the refund is calculated on the amount you actually paid.
- Corporate wallet payments are refunded to the corporate wallet.
- Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on overseas tour packages: if we have not yet deposited it with the government, it is refunded with your booking. If it has been deposited, it appears against your PAN in Form 26AS and you can claim it in your income tax return; we cannot refund it directly.
